MEET BOGART
The Dog Behind the Name
Bogart’s Bone-Appétit was born from a simple but powerful idea: that every pet deserves the best. Founders Rachel and Harold Vasko were always inspired by Bogart, their first rescue dog — a boxer with gigantic ears, a special spirit, and an uncanny ability to make everyone around him smile.
In 2006, Rachel and Harold were finalizing plans to open their first specialty pet store in Las Vegas. On the very day Rachel signed the papers to officially open the doors, Bogart passed away. He left behind not just his name, but a legacy — one that lives on in the home of every cat and dog parent we’ve had the privilege of serving ever since.

What started as one store has grown into three Las Vegas locations — Southern Highlands, Summerlin, and Fort Apache — each one staffed by a team that genuinely loves animals and is passionate about pet health and wellness.
